Life Without Names!

Have you ever thought about what life would be like without “names”? It would not be much different than life currently. So today I am sitting at Ember Bar in downtown Orlando drinking a glass of crappy wine just observing social interaction between Ann the bartender and some dude ordering a drink. Random dude starts trying to start conversation with the bartender and she is not listening to any of the words coming out his mouth but miraculously she seems to grasp the drink he orders. The dude on the other hand is busy multi-tasking, he is staring at her boobs and talking out his ass about how they might have went to high school [...]

Past and Present

So I’m at the Waterford LA Fitness doing leg lunges with 55-pound dumb bells, which are just destroying my knees. I tend to take these really long breaks before workouts mainly because I am a lazy bum and also because I have this really bad of habit of daydreaming while at the gym.
If there is something I don’t understand about the human mind it is the reason why we only tend to have actual daydreams in certain places that we have spent significant portions of our life in and in my case that is the gym. I have been working for out for as long as I could remember and it has served as a breeding [...]

The Art of Low Balling

Today I learned about what I call “The Art of Low Balling”. My definition of a low-ball is an offer to make during a business proposition in which both parties in negotiation intrinsically know that the offer made by the offerrer is way below market value.
A low-ball offer is in my opinion a showing of confidence and cockiness by the offerer and in a sense shows the seller that they mean business and are serious. A low-ball offer is secretly enhanced from a physiology point of view when a third party is introduced into the equation from the offerer side. An example of this is at my day job. We are buying Internet traffic from [...]

Common Enemy Theory

Over the last couple weeks I have had the luxury of being able to travel and go to various conventions such as Affiliate Summit and Pubcon all major online advertising conventions. The main purpose of going these conventions is to (A) Learn Something New (B) Network and or which rarely happens or which rarely happens (C) Develop long lasting Friendships that have nothing to do with business. I know this is a very cut a dry terminology toward going to conventions but for the most part its true.
With saying that, there are usually one or two people at these conventions who are possible clients or intellectually savvy individuals who you want [...]

Smart Way for Free Lancers to Market Themselves!

thumbnail-1.aspx

Today I made it a goal of mine to find a qualified intelligent and creative copywriter for a project that I am apart of. Normally the way I find a free lancer is through my network of contacts. I’ll usually make a post on Linkedin and Facebook as well as Tweet that I am looking for a qualified copywriter. I didn’t find anybody this way and got over 100 messages from the highly qualified applicants of craigslist that just clogged up my inbox and made me puke. I didn’t know what to do!
So I got back [...]

5 Things We Can Learn from Israel!

http://www.steveweisslive.com/5-things-we-can-learn-from-israel/

Weather you agree with the political policies of Israel or not there is 5 things that we can take away from both a human relations, leadership, and overall business stand point from the way they conduct their affairs in the global economy. The main purpose of this post is comparison between Israel’s behaviors as a country and to how we conduct ourselves in our daily lives. I really think we could take something out of their book
1. Decisiveness
Israel is one of the few countries in the world that is decisive on policy. Weather you like their policy or not if they decide to attack they do it bottom line. You have to respect that. If we as people [...]
